Hitachi Community Action Committee (CAC) Grants

Hitachi Metals' corporate culture is based, in part, upon a strong sense of community. Corporate funding is allocated annually to provide Hitachi's community action committee with the resources necessary to fund qualified 501(c)3 organizations. To further encourage its employees, Hitachi offers "release time" for participation in special activities that occur during normal business hours.

For employees serving the community at a personal level, Hitachi created the "Dollars For Doers" Program that rewards employees by paying organizations $$$ for the individual volunteer hours they serve.

Grants awarded by Hitachi are showcased below (grantees receive a matching funds check directly from The Hitachi Foundation through its HCAP Program):

The Hitachi Foundation

The concept of corporate giving is also support by The Hitachi Foundation, an independent nonprofit philanthropic organization established by Hitachi, Ltd. in 1985.

Hitachi Community Action Partnership (HCAP) Program

The Community Action Partnership (HCAP) Program, operated by The Hitachi Foundation in Washington, DC, assists Hitachi in its efforts to be a good corporate citizen by providing matching funds to improve the quality of life in the communities where employees live and work.
